FILM CELLS
For those of you who don’t know about film cells here’s some information:
When a film is released on video/DVD and is no longer screened in cinemas, the spools of film that were used to screen the films were usually left on shelves to gather dust. Nowadays however, film spools of classic and cult movies are cut into strips, mounted and sold as film memorabilia. It's only in the last few years that this has started to happen and naturally when all the spools for a particular film have been used up no more will be released by the film companies due to the high cost of reproducing this type of film. That means that these film cells will become much sought after, that’s basically why many people are buying them as investments. Of course in addition to being a future investment, film cells are a great item for movie fans to own and make great gifts!
We are currently offering 3 types of limited edition movie cells: Framed Movie Cells, Movie Cell Plaques and Movie Cell Bookmarks.
These highly collectable film cell presentations (8" x 10") are limited in number and feature one or two strips of hand selected original 35mm film, mounted with a photo in a high quality gold wooden frame. Each presentation bears a brass nameplate engraved with the title of the movie and the limited edition number. Each item comes with a certificate guaranteeing the cells authenticity.
